La Société Pro Musica
Pro Musica is this year in its 62th season and bringing the brightest artists and the most beautiful music remains a most challenging enterprise. Our 2010-2011 programming for all three series was designed with great care for the pleasure of discerning music lovers.
Beginning in October, you will discover, or rediscover, superb artists in the Emerald series. Eight concerts with musicians from ten different countries, including Canada: three renowned string quartets, four piano recitals by high-ranking artists from Canada and abroad and a very special duo cello/piano!
This series welcomes young and accomplished musicians from Quebec and the Grand Prize winner of the Montreal International Musical Competition in 2004. These concerts will now be given at 3:30 in the afternoon.
Held in the Grand Foyer culturel, les Mélodînes offer 16 concerts in association with Place des Arts, a lunch-hour pause featuring a wide range of fine musicians with a variety of instruments and repertoires.
And ending on another high note in the Sapphire concert: an all Schubert piano recital by one of the best living pianist (name to be revealed subsequently).
